Alex is the Director of  Your Health Sport and Spine and Dural Health. He has spent over 8 years of university training to be only one of a handful dual qualified chiropractors and physiotherapists in Australia and is the only one in Sydney’s Hills District. He is also undertaking further studies at La Trobe University in the hopes of completing a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.

Alex has always had a strong connection with the Hills District community, he went to school there and been involved with the Redfield College Old Boys Rugby Club, Westbrook Junior AFL club, Cherrybrook Stags Rugby League and many other local associations.

He has a special interest in chronic back pain and sports injuries. Currently Alex is the Physiotherapist for NSW Hockey’s U/18 State men’s team and head physiotherapist for NSW Lacrosse. He has also worked with various other sporting clubs and teams including most the Canberra Raiders in 2018 pre-season. Prior to the establishment of Your Health Sport & Spine, Alex worked as part of an agent for WorkCover NSW looking at ways to better assess people who have undergone permanent injury. He is also a Netball Australia KNEE program endorsed provider.

Alexander Alevras – Chiropractor

Alex has spent over 5 years at university graduating with both a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. In this time Alex has developed a passion in helping people, with a key interest in sports; especially boxing.

Since his graduation Alex has continued his education in undertaking a Master of Research under supervisor Dr. Reidar Lystad at Macquarie University. In which Alex rubbed shoulders with researchers from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). Currently his research focus is boxing injury and performance and was fortunate enough to present these findings at the 2018 Sports Medicine Australia Conference. Alex plans to pursue a PhD in boxing injury prevention after the completion of his Master of Research.

Alex is a qualified level 2 sports trainer and has been involved with various sports and teams from an amateur to elite level. These sports include:

Jennifer Bennett – Exercise Physiologist

B.ExPhys, SIRA 16818

Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney and since graduating, has worked in numerous private practice settings helping people with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, Type 2 Diabetes, and Cardiometabolic conditions.

Being a soccer player, she has a special interest in working with athletes at all levels with their rehabilitation from injury, as well as strengthening and conditioning to make sure they are performing at their best.

Hollie James – Dietitian

MNutrDiet, BSc(NutrMetab)

Hollie encourages having a healthy relationship with food, believing that you don’t need to cut out foods you enjoy- it’s all about balance. She appreciates that we are all different and there is more than one way to be healthy, so she ensures her approach is always personalised. Working together, Hollie and her clients look to find the best approach for long-term success.

Hollie has gained valuable skills and experience at Concord General Repatriation Hospital and The Mater Hospital, working with both inpatients and outpatients in diabetes, obesity, cardiology, oncology and ICU, to list a few. Hollie has completed research projects with HealthShare NSW, Cancer Council NSW and during her master’s degree. Recently, one of these papers, looking at marketing strategies on health food snack products, was published in Nutrients.

Hollie’s main areas of interest: Metabolic health (including diabetes), sustainable weight loss, cardiovascular disease (including hypertension and high cholesterol), digestive health (including IBS and IBD), vegetarian and vegan diets, coeliac disease, women’s health (including pregnancy).

Doris Qu – Physiotherapist


Doris completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Following Doris Dural Physiotherapistgraduation, she started her career in the public and private hospital settings, then moved over to private practice, where she has been helping the community for the past 8 years.

She has extensive experience in managing work related injuries, whiplash, and also works with clients under DVA and NDIS.

Doris has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, as well as women’s health, and clinical pilates. She is currently in the process of attaining her qualification to become a clinical pilates instructor. Doris is also fluent in speaking Mandarin.
